Looz Penetration Test

White‑box penetration test on Looz’s VM. Discovered 4 critical/high findings including exposed WordPress credentials, open SSH with root escalation, outdated PHP & WordPress core. Delivered full technical report with CVSS scoring and remediation steps.

Threat Modelling to Assess Risk in an IoT System

This group project analyzes security risks in an IoT system using threat modeling. It identifies vulnerabilities in connected devices and applies mitigation strategies like encryption, MFA, network segmentation, and monitoring to improve overall system security.

Network Segmentation and Containment

This lab demonstrates network segmentation and containment by using firewall rules to control communication between systems. It shows how restricting access to only required services (like SSH) reduces attack surface and helps isolate threats. The exercise highlights how segmentation and quarantine techniques limit the spread of attacks and support effective incident response.
